Hui Malama I Na Kupuna O Hawaii Nei

Hui Malama I Na Kupuna O Hawaii Nei has been working for the past 26 years to repatriate and rebury the bones and funerary items of ancestral Hawaiians from museums, institutions, agencies and private indviduals in the U.S. and abroad.  Our Kumu (Founded) has determined that the time had come to end our work. In the end, our efforts resulted in the repatriation of almost 6,000 individuals (we can provide a listing if interested). The organization was formally dissolved as a non-profit corporation on January 23, 2015.  We are raising funds to pay for an accountant to close out our books and ensure that all IRS filings are in order. which is the last order of business before we sunset.  Please help us fundraise so we can finally put her (Hui Malama I Na Kupuna O Hawaii Nei) to rest.  Of course, as individual Hawaiians, the kuleana (duty, responsibility, privilege) of repatriation and reburial will continue forever and be passed down to our children ad infinitum.
