Capturing global attention, the "woman,Life,Freedom" uprising in Iran is now in its 4th week and we need your help to be the voice of the voiceless.

Led by the women, especially the Gen Z of Iran, in the aftermath of the brutal murder of Mahsa Amini by the so-called "morality police", protests have continued across the country. Hundreds more have died, including children, thousands detained but day after day, their bravery knows no bounds as they demand an end to the oppressive theocracy of the Islamic Republic. This government (if you can call them that) has deprived the people of Iran of their basic human rights for over 43 years.

We're asking for your support to keep pushing the mainstream media and the leaders of the G7 to stand in solidarity with the people of Iran's quest for freedom and echo the true voice of the Iranian people. More importantly, our aim is to counter the efforts of the propaganda arms of the Islamic Republic to twist and distort the narrative coming out of Iran.

100% of your donations will be used to:

• Pay for the logistics of rallies and demonstrations, primarily in the UK and Europe, to raise awareness of the humanitarian crisis in Iran aligned with other Iran-related social movements, such as the PS752Justice;
• Pay for the material and admin costs to launch campaigns targeting non-Iranian communities, independent journalists, mainstream media pundits, political leaders, activists, businesses and social influencers, in order to expand the reach of the "Woman,Life,Freedom" movement and bring human rights issues in Iran to the fore;
• Pay for events, hire billboards, do op-eds, etc. to foster a non-partisan social discourse about Iran and an open dialogue on how we can advance the main objectives of the movement;
• Pay for the procurement of adverts on social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok to make sure the world hears the true story of what’s happening in Iran, especially the women in Iran;
• Pay for the commissioning of professional content about the circumstances in Iran and daily media updates to maintain the movement’s momentum;
• Pay to build an independent media platform to echo the true voice of the Iranians both in and out of Iran, those who are not affiliated with any political opposition groups and who focus on Human and Women rights issues in Iran. Examples of these issues include the right of Iranians to freely express themselves, to travel in and out of Iran, freedom of faith, freedom of identity, and freedom of access to information and the world wide web.

Who are we?

We are United4Mahsa, an independent non-partisan social activist group launched against the backdrop of the recent event. United4Mahsa focuses on bringing attention to human rights issues in Iran via campaigning. The goal is to become a civil society and lobbying NGO that champions a contemporary rhetoric of how the basic human rights of Iranian people are being violated under the Islamic regime.

We are seeking to build a platform for an open and inclusive dialogue and raise awareness as well as the sociopolitical discourse around these topics. Perhaps most importantly, we aim to fill the gap between the one-sided, politically influenced narratives followed by mainstream media on different ends of political spectrums to come up with meaningful solutions for rectifying human rights abuses in Iran and plans to achieve them.

The United4Mahsa team is a collective of multinational, multigender people with a shared passion for human rights. We come from different backgrounds and have varied expertise in law and policy, finance, volunteering, campaigning, content development, and project management. But we all envision one thing: a free and peaceful Iran that is a safe place for ALL Iranians.

Visit our website for more info on what we have already done, and follow us on social media for updates

What are we standing for?

We're here for a FREE and DEMOCRATIC IRAN that is a safe place for ALL Iranians, with all the diversities in ethnicities, faiths, schools of thought and identities that define us as a nation. We believe a FREE IRAN is a vital constituent of peace in the world and global security and the way to achieve this is to raise awareness about the appalling abuse of human rights in Iran on a global scale.

Dictators won’t be stopped here and now, so we continue until we have the leaders of the free world by our side on this path. Our promise is to always remain fully accountable and transparent and be fully committed to working in the interest of the “Women,Life,Freedom” movement.

When will donations be closed?

We will continue to share updates throughout the campaign, but whilst the people of Iran continue their fight for freedom, we’ll continue to support them from here. A transparency hub will be dedicated to reporting back to donors a detailed list of expenses and actions.

You don't know what's happening in Iran?

A first-of-its-kind movement in Iran, led by the brave gen-z and women, has ignited in the aftermath of the tragic death of a young girl named Jina (Mahsa) Amini. She died while in custody of the morality police (a branch of the Iranian police tasked with enforcing Islamic dress codes) for not observing the strict hijab laws, i.e. being punished for having strands of her hair visible. Reports confirmed she was beaten by her detaining officers, which caused skull fractures and led to her falling into a coma and subsequently dying.

Every penny counts, literally, and would be hugely appreciated!

Q&A

1. Why raising funds?

It’s an unfair fight. On one side we have the Islamic regime in Iran which has access to a myriad of resources, networks, and infrastructures. On the other side are the Iranian people who don’t even have a platform to be heard and are being faced with nationwide internet shutdowns in Iran in an attempt by the government to cut their access to platforms while shaping state-sponsored propaganda.
Yet, we believe in the power of the crowd. Your help will enable us building a powerhouse for Iranians outside of Iran.

2. Will these funds be sent to Iran to support those who’ve been directly suffering from the oppressions?

Due to the complications of transferring funds to Iran, these funds will not be received by anyone in Iran. But there are still many things we could do for them here.

3. Who manages the funds?

We have a crossdisciplinary team coming from legal, finance, and project management backgrounds with +5 years of experience in similar settings either as advisors to not-for-profit organisations or c-suit executives in SMEs. Our team will make sure the funds are appropriately dedicated to our social goals with transparent reporting back to our donors, and financial auditing.

4. How can I contact you?

Contact us via [email redacted] or drop us a dm on our social media platforms; Our team will respond to your queries within 24 hours.
