Vanessa's fight against DIPG

Am 10.03.2021 wurde bei meiner Tochter (17) DIGP diagnostiziert. Bei der aktuell gängigen Therapie (Bestrahlung in Kombination mit Chemotherapie) im Rahmen einer klinischen Studie kann bisher die Lebenserwartung und -qualität nicht signifikant beeinflusst werden. Diese liegt aktuell im Durchschnitt bei 9 Monaten nach Diagnosestellung.
Am Montag, 22.03., bekommt sie die erste Bestrahlung und die Chemotherapie startet.
Bei meiner Recherche über alternative bzw. begleitende Therapien gibt es doch einige Möglichkeiten, Zeit zu gewinnen und vor allem noch eine gute Zeit gemeinsam verbringen zu können.
Diese Therapie werden nicht von der Krankenkasse übernommen. Weder die Arztgespräche, Medikamente noch die Fahr- und Unterkunftskosten. Daher sammel ich jetzt schon über diesen Weg Spenden, um meiner Tochter und uns als Familie etwas mehr Zeit gemeinsam ermöglichen zu können. Damit wird direkt starten können, wenn ich das "OK" der Ärzte bekommen, die diese alternativen Therapien durchführen.
Für was werden die Spenden genutzt?
- Alle Kosten der alternativen Therapien (Arztgebühren, Medikamente, Fahrtkosten, Unterkunftskosten, Kosten für stationären Aufenthalte)
- Verdienstausfall: Deckung der notwendigen Lebenshaltungskosten (aktuell bin ich in der AU durch den Hausarzt, solange die Krankenkasse das mitmacht)
- Finanzielle Absicherung der Brüder von Vanessa (13 und fast 15 Jahre alt), da Rücklagen bilden ab sofort nicht mehr möglich ist.
- Im Worst case: Rest der Spende geht weiter an eine Initiative, die sich für die Forschung DIPG einsetzt. Ich bin da z. B. auf DIPG - Fighter aus München gestossen.

In my research on alternative or accompanying therapies, there are some ways to gain time and, above all, to spend a good time together.
This therapy is not covered by the health insurance. Neither the doctor's interviews, medications nor the cost of travel and accommodation. That's why I'm already collecting donations through this path in order to allow my daughter and us as a family a little more time together. This will be able to start directly when I get the "OK" of the doctors who perform these alternative therapies.
What are the donations used for?
- All costs of alternative therapies (doctor's fees, medicines, travel expenses, accommodation costs, costs for inpatient stays)
- Loss of earnings: coverage of the necessary cost of living (currently I am in the AU by the family doctor, as long as the health insurance company participates in this)
- Financial security for the brothers of Vanessa (13 and almost 15 years old), since reserves are no longer possible.
- In the worst case: the rest of the donation goes to an initiative that promotes research DIPG. I came across DIPG - Fighter from Munich .B.
