Ward A3 at the Grange University Hospital

Hello to all you lovely people. So, as most of you know, my beautiful mam passed away early January this year … On mams birthday prior to her being diagnosed, me and jade organised a sky dive for mam as this was on her bucket list. She was HYPED for it. However, due to her diagnosis/treatment starting, mam was unable to go through with the jump.

During mams last week, she was being cared for by staff on Ward A3 at the Grange University Hospital (Nurses, Palliative Care team and doctors). The care that mam received during this time was impeccable. Due to it being Christmas time, there were lots of changes and an influx of patients that would have resulted in heightened pressure on the staff, but Mam was treated with so much respect and kindness you’d never have known.

Whilst I was staying with mam, I felt as though I was being cared for by the staff with the same empathy that they show to patients. I will never be able to thank them enough for supporting/caring for not only my mam, but our whole family.

ANYWAY, I thought to myself … how can I repay the wonderful staff for all the care they gave? And this seemed to fit nicely.

So on 6th August, myself and Courtney will be doing a sky dive to raise money for Ward A3 at GUH. I have contacted them and they have gratefully accepted the donation. We would be ridiculously grateful for any donations that people can give, don’t make yourselves skint though because times are TOUGH. Thank you all in advance. Keep giving big fat cwtches to everyone and if you look hard enough you can always find something to smile about each day❤️
