Wellington Station Secret Garden

The Friends of Wellington Station in Shropshire have adopted their railway station right in the middle of this historic market town. Wellington is an ideal hub for walking and biking, so with a generous grant from West Midland Trains and substantial support from Telford & Wrekin Council, Wellington Town Council, Love Wellington and volunteers, we have carried out the project "Wellington Ways". The walking maps are up; the walking leaflets are ready in their dispensers. Now we are moving on to the 'Secret Garden'.

Our ambition is to transform this bramble-ridden little wilderness at the gateway to Wellington into a home for bees and other wildlife, while providing a haven for rail users and others to enjoy.

But we need plants! Lots and lots of lovely pollinator-friendly plants! Please help us with the last stage of this transformation - we are a keen group of volunteers, trowels at the ready, eager to make this garden beautiful.
