LLC Fees and TypeForm (Quiz) Subscription

Donation protected

UPDATE 9/10/21:

This donation fund is now going to be used to raise money for the TypeForm subscription fee of $600 in addition to the LLC costs. My goal is to raise at least $600 by October 5th solely for TypeForm so I can keep my membership after my free trial expires on October 8th, 2021. This will allow me to make unlimited point-based quizzes that can help ADHDers learn about common ADHD symptoms and behaviors and understand themselves a little better in terms of how they're similar/different from the rest of the community... and in a fun way! :) If the $600 goal is not reached, donations will be put back into the brand and will not be used as a personal profit.

-----------

Hey! Thanks for checking out my fundraiser! I started What in the ADHD? in January 2021 with the purpose of sharing accessible information on ADHD. With my strong science and teaching background, I got to work on filming YouTube videos and posting blogs about different ADHD topics, such as "Parenting with ADHD", "ADHD Medication", and "Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria". Before covering a specific ADHD topic, I spend hours and days prepping for a video or blog post. I like to speak from personal experience and examples when I can, but I also want my content to be factual and helpful. So, before making content, I research the HECK out of the topics, mostly in the form of fancy-schmancy scientific research articles.

But WAIT. There's an issue, here, right? What do you get when you provide complex, science-based information on your YouTube video intended for a group of people with ADHD?

Answer: a few hundred dislikes on your video and a mass of Neurodivergents screaming, "GET ME OUT OF HERE!"

Solution? I had to make my content entertaining, tolerable, and easy-to-follow... which isn't as easy as it sounds. This requires a full understanding of the material such that I could use my own analogies and explanations for complex ideas, like dopaminergic systems and pro-drug metabolism. It also requires good timing: I want my content to be descriptive enough to make sense, but not so long that it would bore My Peeps. I also had to become very fluent in GIF for my ADHD blog posts. (That was a joke. I was obviously fluent in GIF wayyyy before What in the ADHD?)

To my surprise, the community LOVED my content from the start. (I only say "surprise" because I had some serious self-doubt at the beginning.) In a matter of months, I grew a community on Twitter and YouTube. The content that seems to be the most well-received by the ADHD community? My surveys and data. I design the surveys from scratch and analyze the data to present interesting results for everyone. (You can see examples here.) Those, too, require TONS of hours of work.

By July 2021, I had several people reach out to me and ask if they could help me with my mission. Long story, short... I now have a small team of ADHDers that help me with merchandise, data analysis, streams, and general clerical/assistant work. (I actually cannot function now without my lovely Personal Assistant.)

So, anyway, that was a really long-winded way of saying:

Would you consider throwing some cash my way so I can incorporate an official LLC* for What in the ADHD?  This will let me continue to (legally) do what I love and pay my team what they deserve.

*The associated fees I need to pay for to complete my LLC formation: State Filing Fee, Legal Registered Agent Service, Operation of Agreement, Expense Tracking, Tax Filing, Employer Identification Number, Compliance, Permits and Licenses, and the Filing Fee for the company I'm paying to organize and file all of this Mumbo Jumbo.
