On July 5, 2020 Mitzi's husband, Jeffery Cohen, passed away unexpectedly from cardiac arrest.
As a two-time stroke victim, Jeff was Mitzi's life partner and caretaker, helping her on the road to recovery.
With his death, Mitzi is left struggling to find her own way. Although she has friends and some family around her, the road will be long and difficult without her best friend and caretaker by her side.
Her wish, and our hope, is to raise money to get Mitzi a companion dog on her journey. While we know a dog could never replace Jeff, it would bring her so much joy and help along her way.
