Support South West Vic Wildlife Shelters 2020-21
A fundraiser for and on behalf of the following licensed wildlife shelters:
* Winchelsea Wildlife Shelter - managed by Barb Reyland
Wildlife Rescue Rangers
* Wildlife Nurse Shelter- managed by Layla Merrit
Wildlife Nurse Shelter
* Warrina Wildlife Shelter - managed by Jakki Collinson
The above shelters receive numerous species of sick, injured and displaced wildlife from the Surf Coast and surrounding regions. They take in animals for rehabilitation with the aim of releasing them back into the wild once recovered. The shelters also manage a network of foster carers. These shelters are predominantly self-funded. Running a wildlife shelter requires a substantial commitment of time and money. Often leaving little resources for anything else.
This is why Wildlife Projects 3228 + is asking the community for help on their behalf.
What will the money be spent on?
The donations will be split equally between the three shelters. Funds will be used to help ease the pressure of ongoing costs of specialty wildlife foods, medical supplies and equipment.
Duration of fundraiser: 6 months
What about wildlife transporters?
Fuel vouchers for rescuers who transport wildlife are also welcomed and can be sent to:
PO Box 411, Torquay, 3228.
Vouchers will be distributed to transporters who are part of the rescue network of the above shelters.
Are donations tax deductible?
No. Unfortunately these small independent shelters do not have DGR status.
Your donation will help support wildlife rescue, rehab and release.
Thank you for caring, we are extremely grateful.
