WLSC Tiger Radio is based in Loris, SC and currently broadcasts on AM 1240. We have an FCC construction permit for FM translator (W294CW) 106.7 FM. We own our own tower and our construction permit allows us to build the FM translator on our tower. We must raise an additional $15,000 to cover transmission equipment, installation and engineering costs associated with launching our 250 watt FM signal. We need these funds immediately to assist us in reaching our goal of starting construction by mid 2020.
WLSC Tiger Radio has been on the air since 1958. Banana Jack Murphy Productions has owned and operated the station since 2007. WLSC Tiger Radio is a classic country station which spotlights songs that actually made it to the #1 position on the charts. WLSC Tiger Radio just might be the only true number one station in the country.
Speaking of being number one, you can sponsor your own hour of #1 country hits. Our music library consists of the biggest #1 songs from the 1960s to 2010. If your business is a winner, promote it with your own hour of number one country songs.
You could also spread your message by sponsoring The Banana Jack Murphy Show which airs weekdays Noon - 3pm. The show is hosted by the award winning radio and television personality, Banana Jack Murphy. Your message will stand out as Banana Jack delivers great country music, lots of laughs and good times every weekday.
In 2016, WLSC Tiger Radio launched a live weekly variety show called "Down at the Barbershop", which airs every Friday 10 am - Noon. The show allows local musicians and entertainers to gain exposure. "Down at the Barbershop" originates from the WLSC Tiger Radio studios located inside Loris Barbershop.
