Your Story Exhibit

Hi, my name is Ty Fischer. I am a professional photographer and a resident of Springfield, Ohio. I am working to bring the first public art exhibit to the downtown Springfield "DORA" location with the Your Story project. This project features 50 citizens from Springfield sharing their experience from the year 2020 and how it affected them mentally, physically, spiritually, financially through an essay. I then used the words from their essay to recreate their portrait out of their words. Their portrait literally became their story. I am collaborating with Rod Hatfield, The City of Springfield, Ohio, The Clark County Historical Society, and MacRay Company to bring this body of work to downtown Springfield as a month-long installation in the DORA (designated outside refreshment area) with an immersive opening exhibit night to include the images in forms of medium ranging from murals, audio/video installations, and music. We need to raise $20,000 to cover all the print work, labor to install, first run of coffee table books, audio/visual equipment, and marketing material. The exhibit is currently slated for either the month of September or October 2021. All donations will be used for the exhibit costs.
