Pray for Moe

Muhammad, better known as “Moe” by everyone close to him, was the victim of a very serious drunk driver hit & run car accident a few weeks back that, at the moment, has left him with full paralysis from the waist down & enduring journey to recover. 

 Moe had been in Seattle, Washington preparing for an opportunity to advance his career and interview for a potential job with Microsoft. Deciding to go out for a night run, like had many tokes before, Moe was hit head on by a drunk driver while jogging through a pedestrian crosswalk. While jogging, and with the right of way, he approached the crosswalk and continued through, this ultimately ended up to be the same time the driver blew through the crosswalks’ stop sign, without stopping, and hit him head on going over 50 mph. 

 Moe was rushed to an emergency trauma unit by an ambulance due to suffering a fractured spine, disc herniation, and the loss of feeling from the waist down (paralysis), along with many other injuries that called for immediate surgery. Since his surgeries, Moe has been in the hospital at the University of Washington, Harbour View Medical Center for over a month’s time now. 

 Due to the accident being a hit and run, with an ongoing investigation that has not found the driver of the vehicle that night, Moe is left to cover the extent of his medical expenses which has quickly become an overwhelming amount, even with the government/hospital financial assistance. 

 He currently needs to enter the rehabilitation department at the hospital to begin fighting to recover & gaining the feeling back in his lower body, but is met with an enormous financial roadblock. We ask that from family, friends, teammates, and beyond stand behind this bright young man, who was once an outstanding athlete and more importantly, has always an outstanding human being and a man of God.
