Help Rebuild a Dream

Don protégé

You never expect something like this to happen, especially upon the culmination of your building career.

William “Chris” Grubb had been working on his largest construction project of his seventeen-year building career in Sequim, Washington when disaster struck. Walls were up, trusses had just been set and secured, and the siding had been started. Chris went home Monday evening expecting to continue siding on Wednesday, after the rain stopped. An unforeseen windstorm with gusts as high as 50-70 miles-an-hour came up Tuesday evening, and when he returned to the jobsite on Wednesday, almost all had been lost. The wind had collapsed all but the entire structure causing an estimated $40,000-$50,000 in loss/damages. What was shaping up to be a beautiful 60-by 100 foot shop and barn near the Sequim Valley Airport is now a tangled pile of wood. What’s worse, when this destruction occurred, Chris was still recovering from having the majority of his tools and tool-trailer stolen from the jobsite back in November. Insurance will not cover any of the loss, and Chris now faces a very steep financial burden in order for this project to continue.

If you know Chris, you know he is one of the most hard-working, generous, and loving men in our community. He is constantly volunteering his time to help others. From local baseball and softball coaching, to building projects and church functions, Chris has been a huge help to so many in our community, constantly giving, and never asking for anything in return. Well, now is our chance to show him how thankful we are for him and all he has done and continues to do for us!

We can raise the funds needed to rebuild what’s been lost and help alleviate the burden and stress caused by a natural disaster, and show Chris that the strength of our support for him is stronger than any wind. If you know Chris or his family, live in Sequim WA where he’s been a light in this community for over 20 years, or simply want to give to a worthy cause and bless a small, family business, please consider giving! Every little bit will help.

If you are unable to give financially at this time, but want to volunteer time or labor, please contact us Libby (Grubb) and Cortland Waldron or email [adresse e-mail supprimée]
God bless!
