Kirkbride Development Campaign
General Understanding
The Friends of the Kirkbride, a nearly decade old grassroots community group, continues their original commitment to the preservation and redevelopment of the Historic Kirkbride through facilitating this fundraising project supporting the finalization of a Kirkbride development agreement pursuant to the action of the Fergus Falls City Council on November 3, 2014.
Purpose of Gift
Any gifts are irrevocable and will be used: to support the redevelopment of the Historic Kirkbride, to provide legal counsel if necessary to preserve the Kirkbride, and to enhance the development plan (through, for example, the non-profit artist makers space and the Kirkbride Museum). These funds are a priority to allow for the development plan to be finalized and initiated; funds may be spent on steps necessary to continue to preserve the Kirkbride.
Gift Designation
The Otter Tail Historical Society is a 501 (c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization, and all gifts to the “Kirkbride Funding Project” will be applied in accordance with 501(c)3 parameters and qualify as charitable contributions to the extent allowed by law.
The Kirkbride Funding Project has received support from local, state and national historical organizations.
