Destiny Clark for Miss Maryland USA

Donation protected

Hello everyone!!
I have been selected as an official state finalist to compete in the Miss Maryland USA 2015 pageant this year!!

Dates are October 31st - November 2nd!

In being selected we are asked to find sponsors to help pay a fee of $995 to showcase our leadership and our communication skills.  But also to help aid with all of our pageant expenses and production of this 3 day event as a whole.
These expenses include food and lodging at the Marriot hotel,  gifts and prizes  for MISS MARYLAND USA, finalists, semi-finalists, contestants,  stage presentation & entertainment (judges, emcees, technicians, staff), round trip airfare, wardrobe and other expenses for the winners 3 week trip to the city of the MISS USA pageant.

Also every amount you contribute is considered a charitable donation so, as long as you save proof of your donation you can claim it as a tax deduction! Same goes for business owners out there in which you can draw the funds from your advertising budget and utilize this as an opportunity to have your businesse's name in their program book as well.

There are still so much to do in preparing for this competition so your contribution would surely help put a GREAT ease to my mind and would forever be appreciated! :)

An opportunity like this would not only be a stepping stone for me to achieve my dreams in spreading my music but a chance for me to be a powerful advocate for the things I strongly believe in and most importantly, for those who don't have a voice.

If I were to be be crowned the next Ms. Maryland I wouldn't see myself as the winner of a "beauty" pageant but a representation of woman all over with the power to show that true "beauty" & strength come from WITHIN and manifest even in the little things we choose to do in our daily life. That we all posess the ability to achieve our dreams, leave our mark on this world and stand up for what we believe in.

There are causes I am also very passionate about and I would want to utilize this opportunity to represent those as well. A few of those including:

-The American Cancer Society
(being that I lost my father to lung & throat cancer and my grandmother to lung cancer when I was only 17: largest nongovernmental funder of cancer research in the United States, having spent more than $4 billion since 1946 to fund research all over the US to find a cure)

-Big Brothers Big Sisters
(being that I have so much passion for children and am one that comes from a rough background; helps at risk children (abused, orphans, homeless) realize their true potential and build their future by having mentors to inspire and encourage their passions)

-VH1 Save The Music Foundation
(In growing up music was my outlet and help me grow spiritually, emotionally, and mentally in so many ways beyond standard schooling could ever teach. I wouldn't be who I am today without it.  And if my school didn't have a program I would have never known from an early age that pursuing music was what I wanted to do with my life; A 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring music programs in America’s public schools, and raising awareness about the importance of music as part of each child’s complete education.

-David Lynch Foundation
(As I approach this time in my life, I am starting to become more and more in tune with my spirituality and realize just how important it is to love & be in touch with yourself to heal from the past, reduce the everyday stress of life, appreciate the true beauty of this planet, and live in the present; Started in 2005,  a cause to help spread Consciousness-Based Education, World Peace and teach the practice and benefits of meditation to schools all over the U.S and around the world. Funds the implementation of these scientifically proven stress-reducing modalities for "at-risk populations" including U.S. veterans and African war refugees with post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), inner city students, American Indians, homeless and incarcerated men. The DLF also funds research to assess the effects of the program on academic performance, ADHD and other learning disorders, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, cardiovascular disease, post-traumatic stress disorder, and diabetes.)

Anyway you could help would be greatly appreciated, everything counts!Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this, and for contributing to help me move closer to achieving my dreams and to obtaining the opportunity of a lifetime! =D

Much love to you all <3!!
