Queering Up The Comics: In Person!

Maybe you know us, maybe you don't, but we're A & K: the creators of ChaosLife, FindChaos, Lesbians 101, and loads more queer-centric comics. You can learn more about us below! 
☆Why We're Here: We've had the enormous fortune of being invited to some conventions this Spring, namely, Emerald City Comic Con. Conventions are downright life-changing events for a couple of creators who had yet to make any major public appearances, so naturally, we're stoked to go. There's just one problem:
No spare change!
We've had a mindblowing amount of success on Patreon thanks to the generosity of our readers, but that money goes straight to "staying alive" things like bills, food, and supplies. It's a blessing, but also means we don't have extra cash for things like traveling, merchandise overhead, accommodations, etc. That's where this campaign comes in! 
Does $4,400 seem like a lot to you? Believe me, it does to us, too! Here's the breakdown of costs:
☆-- Plane Tickets (round-trip for two people, coach, misc. taxes and travel expenses): $2,000.
☆-- Hotel Accomodations (group rates, a.k.a. cheap as humanly possible; multiple nights, misc. taxes and travel expenses): $1,000
☆-- Merchandise Overhead (small-run book printing, buttons, stickers, and other fun objects): $600
☆-- Food Budget, Miscellaneous Travel Costs (cabs, subways, etc.): $400
☆-- Processing Fees, Taxes on Merch: $400
Here's the upside to this campaign and why we chose GoFundMe: Any donation at any amount will help us. This isn't a 100%-funded-or-DOOM style of campaign, so there's minimal risk for all involved. We're not going to just not show up at these events (we'd sell our furniture and less-important organs first), and even if we only make enough money to cover the costs partially, that will be a huge help. We're just hoping to ease the financial burden as much as possible so that we can spend our time between now and then making comics and fun material for our readers and fans. 
If you can help us out, we'll be so grateful! Even $1 will go a long way to helping us get to these amazing events without worry (y'know, apart from the nerves of going in the first place). Who We Are:
We're A. Stiffler & K. Copeland, a queer couple (legally married in MA in 2010, illegally together in-person since 2003, flirting generally online since 1998!) that makes comics! A LOT of comics! Currently, we make:
ChaosLife: A semi-autobiographical comic that focuses on our life, relationship, cats and any other random subject we can think of!
FindChaos: A horror comic with a queer, diverse cast!
Lesbians101: An edu-comic that answers a lot of the more common questions about lesbians, as well as provides some further insight into queer culture!
We've also made several short-story horror comics, contributed to Smut Peddler 2014 with an auto-bio smutty tale, contributed to Blood Root Issue #2 with a sweet story of horror, and contributed to the Beyond Anthology (a queer sci-fi/fantasy anthology) with a gay romance that warms up slowly. 
Our work has been featured on the Australian Broadcasting Corporation productions, The Discovery Channel Blog, The Washington Post, MSN Japan, Gizmodo, Bitch Magazine, AutoStraddle and NerdApproved, among many other venues both in print and online! We've also held educational talks about comics and queerness at OSU and several other venues. 
We're queer educators, supporters and creators. With cats.
