Justice for Forrest Seagrave
Donation protected
After my son Forrest Seagrave saved the life of a fellow employee and tried to prevent a robbery in Kelseyville, CA on January 18, 2013 he was taken to Heaven. Thanks to the current sheriff of Lake County the trial is being held in San Francisco which is approximately 2.5 hours away. According to SF Gate, San Francisco is the 2nd most expensive city in the United States only behind New York City. The trial is scheduled from Oct. 6, 2014 - Nov. 19, 2014. Nearly 2 months long. The reason for this is that the defendant is defending himself. The court is scheduled from 8:30 am until 5 or 6 pm everyday until the trial is over. I still have not figured out the logistics of it yet. A lot will depend on how much money we have to manage it with.
I will have to be out of work for the duration of the trial, we will still have to keep our regular bills paid, and we still have to figure out getting back and forth everyday, staying down there at least part of the time, or whatever. Driving 2.5 hours each way in addition to 8 - 9 hours of trial each day plus our emotions will make it very strenuous if not impossible to manage a daily trip to and from Lake County, which is where we live.
I feel badly about doing this, but I am asking for as much help towards the expenses as possible. Any that we may not need because the guy plea bargains, or we simply go over what we actually need we will put toward the “Forrest Seagrave Memorial Scholorship” at Kelseyville High School that someone was talking about or, if that is not possible, we will give it to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, the only charity that I know Forrest donated to. In any case, thank you to anyone who does help and God bless all of you. (And of course your prayers are always welcome.)
