The Plan:
This fund is set up on behalf of our good friend Carl Cote and his family, to help raise $40,000 to cover the costs of his cancer treatments.
About Carl:
Carl is an individual who is generous, compassionate, and lives life to the fullest. His infectious positive attitude shines in all aspects of his life. His greatest joys are spending time with his wife Bianca and his daughter Vivienne. When he is not out camping, hiking, kayaking, and biking with his family and friends, he can be found training for triathlons. Over the past few years Carl has become quite an accomplished athlete. He has represented Canada at three World Championships. Carl is a true ambassador of promoting a healthy and active lifestyle.
Diagnoses:
In 2011 Carl was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer. Thankfully the tumors were surgically removed and he experienced five years of complete remission.
In October of 2016, a CT scan showed that the cancer was back. Carl underwent treatment but the latest CT scan revealed that his treatment was unsuccessful and the testicular cancer has metastasized.
He has since decided to pursue an alternative treatment in Tijuana, Mexico. He has been forced to quit his job and leave behind his wife who is expecting their second child, and his one year old daughter to undergo treatment.
How we can help:
I have only known Carl to generously give to others, never expecting anything in return. Carl and his family are going through a very difficult time and I feel it is our turn to step up and help such an amazing person!
