Make Freedom House a Reality
Donation protected
The Freedom House is a non-profit organization born out of the efforts from an entire community to combat negative policy affecting undocumented students. Undocumented students came together to start this project. Our mission at the Freedom House is to advocate for positive policies in the State of Georgia, to help students in High School apply to college and to make available resources that the undocumented population can use to better their lives.
A Freedom House sustained by an entire community will be politically effective and challenging to damaging policy. We see power in community as a lobbying strategy. Bringing together diverse voices to speak truth to congressional power has without a doubt a greater impact on the person to whom we are bringing the stories of thousands.
It is for this reasons that we are calling on mothers, fathers, students, teachers and concerned citizens to join us in this journey so that we can collectivelly work towards a better future for all immigrants seeking a better future.
Lucino Gopar, Co-founder of Freedom House stands in front of the Board of Regents urging them to lift the Ban on undocumented students!
This photo was taken outside of the Board of Regents meeting, where Diana Umana did a civil disobidience calling on the Board of Regents to lift the ban and let her apply to the University of Georgia. Diana has a 4.5 GPA and lives in Athens, GA only minutes away from the admissions office yet she cannot apply to this university for being undocumented. We ask you to support the Freeodm House by donating today and inviting more to join you in making this project a reality.
All donations over $250.00 are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law under 501c(3) status. You will receive a receipt after all donations.
