Save Our Freetown July Festival

Donation protected
The Freetown July Festival has been an annual tradition in our small town dating back to 1939 when property was purchased for the purpose of having an annual July community celebration. Though the festival has had some hiccups and seen many changes through the years, this two-day event continues to draw neighbors and nearby friends together to celebrate our freedom, and to enjoy some old-fashioned community fun which includes live entertainment, patriotic displays, an auction, karaoke (and a contest), vendors, a parade, car show, games (with prizes) and activities for kids (including the ever-popular water slide, obstacle course, and bouncy house!), a fish fry, baby contest, fireworks, and in recent years, a 5k run.
For several years, we have been slowly sinking, as costs rise and resources are waning.
We would love to be able to continue the fireworks this year (which cost a minimum $3000), and plan to do so IF we can raise the necessary funds by the order deadline. Otherwise all funds raised will go toward other areas of the 2018 Freetown July Festival.
