Friends of the Wolf is Native American Religous Non-Profit. Our founder is Protect The Wolves.
Being Native American, We chose to register as a Native American Religious Non-Profit.... Why some
would wonder... Well as a federally recognized registered Native, Natives are allowed to Possess Animals that have been deemed surplus by The
Government..... So Along with for instance our Eagle Feathers.... the Treaties say we can possess surplus animals... We are in hopes that we will be able to work closer with State Game Depts National Parks etc. and apply for animals that they have deemed surplus.... I.E. Wolves that have been termed a Predator problem.... instead of the FGD aerial killing entire packs like they have done in Both Oregon, Montana and Wyoming... It woukd make sense that after being marked for Death, the STates of Feds have marked them Surplus.....They could send them to Our Sanctuary, where they would at least be allowed to live out there days in a peaceful setting as opposed to being Slaughtered.... We are also in Hopes of being able to assist National Parks with Buffalo dispersion as opposed to Killing them.... At least this is another avenue of Approach we are hoping to use.

We desire to open Protect the Wolves, our proposed animal sanctuary in California., It is also Paramount to our cause to be able to send People to Meetings Rallies around the Country. We are seeking to expand and provide support for our wolf friends across North America. We have provided support for our friends the wolves by spreading the word online, attending Meetings, Rallies, as well as by looking to create a sanctuary to protect the wolves and other animals that are in danger of extinction as a result of human fear. We will further be Incorporating a Program into our Sanctuary Coined "Wolves for Warriors" to Help Not only Veterans, but wolves that are experiencing PTSD, or other additional challenges while attempting to reintegrate into society.
Since 2011, hunters and trappers have killed over 4000 gray wolves in the lower 48 states. Prior to 2011 Gray wolves were protected under the Endangered Species Act for nearly 40 years. That protection was stripped away by a legislative rider in 2011. Because of this rider, the wolves need OUR help to stay alive. Will you help protect he gray wolf before there are none left to protect?
Native Americans and all Americans should be more concerned with real issues like protecting the wolves, than worrying about the name of an NFL team. We should not allow our government to change laws with riders, laws that remove animals from the endangered species lists, laws that take land away from the Native Americans and give it to mining corporations. It is up to us, as a people to protect our land and our animals. Will you join us?

What is Paws on the Ground?
Friends of the Wolf is seeking to help the Wolves . We want to have volunteers at the ready at every wolf event in the United Sates – lectures, rallies, fish and game meetings, etc. We are seeking those volunteers as well as the funds to send them. If you are a brave advocate who is not afraid to be called an ECO-Warrior, Eco-terrorist, and Eco-activist, we are seeking YOU.
We need your donations so that we can ensure there are volunteers at every event across the US and Canada. This means we need money to fly our volunteers, lodge them, and feed them. We also need to raise money to complete the 501c3 application process so that Paws on the Ground will be recognized as a charitable organization, allowing us to accept donations while providing those who do donate a tax write off. Our fundraising needs will continue as we continue to put Paws on the Ground at events throughout the country. Will you help Protect the Wolves today?
