You may have heard that Peckham Town's game vs Stansfeld was abandoned after 27 minutes on Saturday. This was following an extremely distressing incident when Alli Abdullahi was attacked on the pitch. You can find further information on the incident here. There is absolutely no place for this in society, let alone football.
Alli has a broken jaw, eye socket and neck damage (not broken as feared). He had an operation at Kings on Tuesday and hopes to return home later this week. He has a young family and only just started self-employment. So this incident will hit him financially, as well as physically and emotionally.
