Logan's Top Surgery Fundraiser

Hi! My name is Logan and I am transgender (female to male). I came to this realization fully about two years ago. As a kid growing up, I always knew I was different than the others. I was the girl that never wanted to dress up or look nice. I'd rather go roll around in the mud with the guys instead of playing house with the girls. But even from a young age, I accepted the fact that I wasn't like the other kids. High school was rough for me. I dealt with identity issues, but never knew where to begin with them. I knew my friends wouldn't understand (especially since I grew up with them), so I never told anyone what I was feeling until my senior year.
When I started college, I knew it was the perfect time to really discover myself and finally, I became at peace with who I was. With the support of my new family here on campus, I have been able to fully embrace being transgender. There, of course, has been a lot of bumps in the road. I've gotten ridiculed and made to feel less than any other human being on several occassions. But at the end of the day, the people that are in my life are the ones that matter the most and help me keep a level head about the whole situation. I couldn't be happier with who I am becoming.
In June of 2014, I started Hormone Replacement Therapy and have been taking testosterone injections once a week. The changes I have experienced since being on have been incredible and I am so happy with my results. I am still experiencing changes and am ready to continue on with my transition. Soon, my legal documentation (license, birth certification, social security card) will all be changed to my preferred name and I will be able to fully be comfortable in my own skin. The biggest step is getting top surgery.
As my college graduation approaches, I know that soon I will have to deal with real life (bills, rent, all the fun stuff). I know that at this point of my life, this is the most ideal time to really save up for this surgery. This is the next step in my transition, and a costly one. I'm hoping to raise enough money by next summer so I can travel down to Florida to have this surgery completed!
Any amount of money can really help, even just a dollar! So please, donate what you feel is right! If you cannot, please just help spread the word!
Feel free to check out my blog as well, you can ask me questions about my transition or anything transgender related there!
