Help Cosmo beat Lymphoma!!!
This is Cosmo. He's a spunky, 9 year old Lab/German Shepherd Mix. Cosmo is very talkative, friendly, sweet, and playful. About 2 weeks ago, we discovered a new mass on his chest. I'm afraid it just got worse from there.
Tuesday, October 14th, Cosmo's throat seemed to swell up overnight. It was odd, we figured perhaps it was a spider bite. He was taken to the vet October 16th, and I'm afraid we got some bad news.
Cosmo was diagnosed with lymphoma [not sure what kind specifically]. The normal life expectancy for a dog with untreated lymphoma is about 4-6 weeks. He's already having trouble eating, so we have to act fast.
Both me and my partner are unprepared for this, unfortunately. Chemo is expensive, but we love this dog and can't bring ourselves to say goodbye just yet... not when we see him still getting up to comfort us while we cry over him.
So as he stays strong, we have to stay strong for him too. We're usually not ones to do this but we need your help to save this little guy. We've applied to Care Credit, but we already hit our limit and can't remove the cap. We've also applied to numerous financial aid sites to see if we can receive some benefits. But everything takes time, which is something Cosmo seriously doesn't have.
If you are able to help in any way, it would be appreciated, and you would make an old dog very happy.
Thanks for your time.
