Mason's Hope: Son-rise

Donation protected
I am the single parent of a wonderful 6 year old autistic boy. His name is Mason. He is a loving, gentle and bright child. Mason loves the outdoors. I think the peace and serenity of it soothes his overactive mind. He has an uncanny sense of balance and athletic ability  (an excellent tree climber) and yet he is not potty trained. It's not physical but a communication problem. He is non verbal and has poor eye contact. He has a hard time feeding and bathing himself.
Sleep does not come easy to Mason. He wanders and requires constant supervision. I am afraid for him and his future, yet I know he can be reached. I can feel his frustration when he cant express his needs and feelings.
I recently went to a seminar called "Autism breakthrough" and was offered some new information and some hope. My child can be reached thru veil of his autism! The doctors at OHSU told me if he does not speak by the time he is 5, that he may never speak/communicate. I just dont want him to be alone, locked in silence. He has a contribution he would like to make to our world.  I know that he is smart because he can write about 240 different words, but not, in any functional way. I do have a job but it is not full time. Due to his condition, child care is expensive and hard to come by and money is tight. I desperately want to go to the Autisim Treatment Centers of America Son-rise start up program in Sheffield MA on december 7th 2014 (short notice, I know.)  I believe this training program might help me commmunicate with my son. The cost of the program is $2200. Airfair and transportation is $650 plus $250 for lodging. For a grand total of $3100.  I am $1450 shy of my goal. A friend suggested that I try gofundme.com. I prefer to pay my own way, but am unable to at this time. Sometimes it takes a village to raise a child.  Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated and may change my boy's life.
This is a last ditch effort to reach him. Please help me help my son.
