Hi Everyone!
My name is Mikaela Hopkins; I am a member of the College of Charlestons Women's basketball program. Our team is hosting the second-annual Curing Kids Cancer Night event on January 16 versus Towson at TD Arena (7 p.m.). We're working alongside Curing Kids Cancer, an organization that helps raise awareness about pediatric cancers ,including leukemia, and funds for pediatric cancer research.
This event is important to me because someone special who influenced my life recently lost their battle with Leukemia. My best friend's mom, Tammy Williams, was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia 2 years ago. Tammy was like a second mother to me and I loved her dearly. I am thankful for this opportunity to honor her and raise support for those who are still battling this deadly disease.
All proceeds from this website and the game will go directly to the organizations fight against pediatric cancer.
If you would like to learn more about Tammy Williams and her story I published an article in the Huffington Post last year that will take you through her journey.

Thank you so much for your generosity!
