A Cure For Cristi... Cristi Honea

Donation protected
I first met Cristi through weird circumstances.  My ex husband met her before me and knew instantly that we would be friends.  He told us about each other and we became friends on Facebook. We messaged a lot and when my grandpa was diagnosed with liver cancer, Cristi messaged me every day to see how he was doing. After he passed away, this sweet friend, who I had never actually met, sent me a beautiful frame to put a picture of my grandpa in. Later,  she messaged me and told me she had tickets to a New Orleans Saints game and asked if I wanted to go with her. That was the first time we met. This awesome person who really didn't know me, was so sweet and giving and I had never met anyone like her. We talked and laughed like we had been friends for ever. Recently,  at 35 years old, Cristi was diagnosed with breast cancer. Her oncologist said she's at least a stage 3 but will not be certain until her double mastectomy.  Cristi is a devoted mom and wife. She's been married to Mike for four years and they have three beautiful children, Dahlton, 9, Ethan, 5 and Amber, 3. She has started chemo and will have four rounds of Adriamycin/Cytoxen infusions,  followed by four cycles of Taxol. This will be a total of four months of Chemo. After that, she will have a double mastectomy with latissimus dorsi flap reconstruction.  Following her surgery,  she will have radiation for an undetermined amount of time. She will take Tamoxifen for five years to try to prevent the cancer from coming back. As you can imagine,  all of this is plenty of stress on her and her family. She worries about her husband and children. She's still trying to be super mom. She's fighting for her life, but still takes the time every single day to ask me how I'm doing. On top of everything she's going through, now hospital bills are rolling in. Just to give you a small idea of the medical bills, Chemo alone is $60,000 a month. She's worrying about everything and everyone else and it kills me that she's having to worry over medical bills. Right now, she should be focusing all her energy into fighting this horrible disease and spending time with her family. She shouldn't be worrying about finances. I'm asking anyone who reads her story, to please donate. Any llittle bit counts. Share her story. Pray for her and her family. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.  We can't make all of this go away, but we can surely help ease the burden of some things that she's dealing with. Thank you for taking the time to read about Cristi and please share this campaign with your friends.

A few extra little bits of info...
Cristi is the wife of Michael Honea.
They live in Liberty MS.

My name is, Raini Barrett, I am Cristi's best friend which is why I set this up. The purpose of this fundraiser is to help Cristi and her family with the expenses of her cancer treatment  (traveling between Baton Rouge, La and Houston, TX ), doctor bills (which are adding up very quickly) and to help relieve some stress as her husband is the only one working right now. He works in Texas to keep insurance for Cristi's medical needs. There is a bank account that is setup that all funds get transferred to that Cristi is able to access when it is needed. I live in Bude, Ms which is about 30 minutes from Cristi and her family. Please continue to share this page and pray for Cristi and her family.
