Gail Paige Davis Memorial Garden

Gail Paige Davis, 69 of West Palm Beach, FL passed away after a brief illness and has gone to heaven.   She is survived by her brother and best friend, Tom Davis of West Palm Beach and his husband, Mark Rutherford, her nephew Cris and niece Sofia, her aunt and dear friend Peggy Alexander of High Point, N. C.  She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Wade Davis and Eloise Robbins Davis of High Point, N.C. and her beloved soul mate Harry.

Gail was born June 2, 1949 in High Point, N. C.  She studied political science and theater at both High Point University and the University of North Carolina. Her never ending thirst for knowledge lead to her greatest education from scholars in numerous fields from all over the globe.  She settled in Washington D. C. and began her political career working for Senators and Congressmen on Capitol Hill.  She served during the Watergate hearings as Assistant Press Secretary to Senator Montoya and worked many years  as the Deputy Director of the Joint Committee on Printing.  She led of life of intrigue and traveled around the world.  She left Washington, D. C. to care for both her father and mother during their last years.  Gail loved interior design from her roots growing up in High Point, N. C.  She previously lived serval years in West Palm Beach, FL before returning to Washington, D.C.  She finally returned three years ago to be with her family after she entered retirement.

Gail was larger than life.  She was brilliant, charming, beautiful inside and out, a prolific reader, a lover of animals and most up to date on anything and everything!  She never met a stranger, she was always smiling, always kind and always extremely interesting.  She championed the underdog and was a diehard Democrat.  She loved to cook, to travel, her books, Formula 1 car racing and gardening.  Most of all she loved her family, she will always be in our hearts and we will love and remember her forever and ever. 

Friends will be received from 11:00AM-12:00PM with a Celebration of Life Service at Noon on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church, 235 SW 6th Avenue, Boynton Beach, FL 33435.
