Help With Geary's Dr Bills
We are raising money for Geary Poling to help with medical bills and living expenses after his brain surgery. Geary was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2010 after 8 years of mis-diagnosis and treatment for problems he didn't even have.
Geary is the Father of Blake Poling and the one thing he's most proud of in his life is his son. He works as a Construction Coordinator for the City of Altus. Geary worked for 10 years as the Marketing Director for the Services Squadron at Altus AFB and has given back so much to his community.
Many people remember Geary as the lead guitarist for many bands over the years but most recognizably "Johnson's Complaint". He loves music and still gives back to the music community every chance that he gets.
The money raised will be used to help with Medical Bills, which have already reached the upper thousands and the actual tumor removal from his brain will cost upward of $160,000. Insurance is paying 80% which will leave a balance of $32,000 for the surgery alone.
The medical Bills are already rolling in and Geary has spent his entire savings trying to stay caught up on them. They are talking the end of October for the Surgery and we would like to have a large chunk of money to give him and his family before he goes into surgery. We, his family and friends will doing as much fundraising as we can before then and hope all of you can find it in your hearts to donate anything you can afford. Remember every $1 makes a difference!
Here's a letter from Geary after we told him we were going to start a "GoFund Me", for him.
"You guys are the best! I can't begin to tell you how much you mean to me and I don't know what I would do without you. This little bit of help with the money will really help ease the stress of this surgery and I appreciate anything someone can do to help. Even if someone can't give monetarily, I would appreciate some positive energy and prayers."
