GEMS is a prison ministry based out of Tallahassee, FL, that places missionary chaplains in local prisons. Currently GEMS is supporting 8 chaplains and their families.

 Years ago, a generous man donated a home, located in Blountstown, FL, to the ministry to house missionary chaplains. Currently there is one family and a single man, who both are involved in chaplaincy, living in the home.

 Last week, the occupants of the home discovered that the floor in the hall bath was rotting under the toilet and could no longer use that bathroom for fear of the toilet falling through the floor!! The vinyl flooring was torn up and we discovered some serious work needs to be done. 
 There was also termite activity, so this morning we are waiting for the termite guys to come out and see what the damages are. In any case, the bathroom is going to need some serious remodel work.

 GEMS does not have a big bank account and most of the money that comes in goes to help the families who are serving in chaplaincy. We would like to help GEMS to be able to make these repairs without taking from the funds that the missionary chaplains count on every month!
