Thanks for stopping by and thinking about supporting my upcoming trip back to Ethiopia.

When we visited Ethiopia in 2008 to adopt Messay, our job was to simply meet and bring home our son. I didn't get to truly experiance much of the country and I didn't get to give back in any large way. It has been a dream of mine to go back to Ethiopia and truly experiance the culture and country as well as give of myself to help his amazing birthplace.
A few years ago I met Andrea, mother of four boys from Ethiopia. She lives here in Virginia Beach and we discovered that while I was in Ethiopia adopting Messay, I actually met and held one of her little boys before she adopted him! It was a truly GOD moment and we have become fast friends. Our boys are now friends and it is such a blessing to be able to tellt hem that they knew eachother- even if just for a short time- while they were in Ethiopia.
Andrea is one of the founders of Habesha Momma http://www.habeshamomma.com/ , an organization built to work with and empower Ethiopians. They built and are now completing the building of school, they are building and providing water filters for villages without clean water, they are training women to provide for themselves, and so much more! Their mission statement is to "come along side Ethiopians already working to empower their neighbors and work together to create success."
I am SO excited to be joining a team of men and women this fall to help Habesha Momma complete some projects. We will be working on water filters, completing work on the school to prepare for children to start, visit Hope for Korah ministry in Korah, visit Entoto Mountain... and more. It will be a full trip with many opportunties for work and relationship building. As a photographer, I will also be documenting the trip. This has been a dream of mine, to use my photography skills on a mission trip.
Anything you can donate would be such a blessings. Ethiopia is not an expensive place, however getting there is! I need to raise over $3000 and I am believing God will provide!
