Koree's Chance to go to France
Hello, my name is Koree Woodley- Adjei. I'm a junior at The Frederick Douglass Academy in Harlem. I am in my third year of French and I am working on becoming fluent in the language. I joined the host and hostess ministry and I welcome the French international guests at my church, St. Luke A.M.E.
I applied for the , Experiment In International Living and I was accepted. This program has been allowing high school students to travel to several different countries over 80 years. I will be l+iving with a French-speaking, host family for three weeks, June 30th- July 20th. During this three week stay, I will be totally emmersed in their culture and cuisine. This experience does not come without a cost. The total cost of this experince is $7,700. I am hoping to raise my balance of $5,300.
Once I return from this experience, I hope to become an ambassador for The Experiement in International Living program, in which I can share my experience and inform others of this opportunity. I would also like to avail myself to other students traveling from French speaking countries when they travel to New York and become more equipped in the language to better engage the international guests when they travel to my church.
