Get Lorelei Back On The Road
Donation protected
Our friend Lorelei Skye has had a rough year. It started with spinal fusion surgery and 8 weeks of confinement. Now, a kamikazi bambi (deer) smashed up her car. She's ok, rattled but ok. The car is probably toast. She's managed her finances admirably, but the $500 deductible is going to put a big dent in it. And then there's the question of How Do I Drive Home? She'd just invested $1500 in the car to keep it roadworthy for one more year, so she wouldn't have to have a car payment until a few more things were paid off.
Stupid bambi.
She absolutely needs a car, to be able to drive back and forth to work, and doctor appointments, and basically take care of herself. I'd like us to raise $1000.00 for Lorelei, to cover her deductible, and the non-covered expenses that may come up (towing, rental, out of state). Any leftover will likely be applied to the downpayment on a replacement vehicle.
Lorelei has done so much to help her friends and family, and the SCA as a whole (see "For The Dream" discs 1 & 2). She's FINALLY started to learn to ask for help, like this year at Pennsic (Dean of the Performing Arts - whoosh!) Often, her friends simply can't, because she's physically so far away from her support network. Very few people can meander over on a Tuesday night and cook dinner, and maybe help with a load of laundry. THIS is something we can all help with.
Please consider showin' a lil' love to our sweet singer. Any amount (and any good wishes and supportive words!) would be greatly appreciated.
