What’s a Glass Jacket?
We've been together as a band for a year now, writing songs, playing gigs, and having an absolute ball of a time doing it. We’re a motley crew made up of a scouse lad, a dude from Somerset, a badass American woman, and our most recent addition, the tallest bassist in the world. By some mad miracle we’ve all ended up in the same city on the same planet and are now making music together. Our music is a foot stomping blend of folk and rock, featuring two-part harmonies intertwining with mad guitar solos, driving bass lines and energetic drums. All this comes together when we play and somehow we make it work.
Why the GoFundMe?
We feel it's time for us to take the next step. For us this means: releasing a single, recording a music video for that single, and getting an EP recorded (..and world domination). These are the things that will help us on our way to sharing our music with as many people as possible. We believe in our potential and in the music we’re making, but we’re recognising that in order for us to prove ourselves as marketable artists we’re going to need to get this material together, and we’re going to need help.
How can I help?
By chucking a few quid in! We’ve got a whole bunch of amazing perks if you do decide to contribute to our cause; starting from badges and stickers, to getting us to play a gig, just for you, all the way up to actually getting your name tattooed onto the band (seriously). The support of our peers and our betters (which is most of you) means the absolute world to us, and it’s what keeps us going every day, every gig, and every hangover.
What would the cash go towards?
The recording of the music video for our new single Danger and studio time for recording our first EP will be the main things that this will go towards. After that it will be the little overheads that end up costing more than we make in our day jobs: things like t-shirts, badges, stickers and other merch, petrol money, taxis and fixing Ilana’s broke as hell amp.

Fans old and new, the amazing people who support local music in Wales and beyond, the people who come up after gigs and say 'you weren't half bad mate', the people who have our wonky first edition pin-badges, even the drunk bloke who kept shouting 'STEREOPHONICS' at us at Kiwi's the other night. The love and support of Cardiff’s music scene has allowed us to play to some awesome crowds and in the end, that’s all we want to be able to keep doing.
