Mission Trip to Liberia

Hello, My name is Mark Rogers. I have a passion for missions and a heart for Liberia, Africa. The country of Liberia went through a devisating 14-year cival war which claimed more than a quarter of a million lives and left an estimated 86% of the population living below the poverty line.
Although there has been peace for a decade, the legacy of Liberia's civil war remains visible in its capital, Monrovia. Temporary centres around the city house up to 45,000 conflict-displaced people. Liberia is among the world's least developed countries.
Life is hard for the people in West Point, a slum in the capital city of Monrovia. It is common for up to nine people to live in one room in a house shared by multiple families. In a township populated by many former combatants, competition for space and resources is intense.
I will be making my 1st trip to Liberia this October!
A two-week trip from October 14-28! I am beyond thrilled to be making this trip. I will be spending the two weeks working with Joshua Blahyi Ministries, who helps rehabilitate ex-child soldiers.
Joshua has a mission in which he houses and rehabilitates young men who have many needs emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Although I am raising my own funds for my expenses I am looking to raise $3500 to help the mission that Joshua has started.
I ask that you pray about giving to my trip and if you feel led to give I can guarantee you that your money will help do some amazing things in Liberia, Africa!!
