Donald Trump has banned people from 7 predominantly Muslim countries from entering the United States.
This ban includes people with dual-citizenship (for example, Canadian-Iranians) as well as people who are legal permanent residents of the United States.

This fundraiser is for Canadians to express their solidarity with our neighbours, the majority of whom did not vote for Trump and oppose his racist and Islamophobic ban.
All proceeds go directly to the American Civil Liberties Union Foundation, the non-profit that is leading the legal battle against the ban and will be of critical importance in defending basic human rights over the next 4 years. GoFundMe handles the transaction so your money goes directly to the ACLU.
While we, as Canadians, are limited in what we can do, if you feel an obligation to make a small contribution to helping protect our neighbours from the cruelty of Donald Trump, I encourage you to make a donation.
As an additional incentive, to say thank you, and to promote offline organizing, I'll organize a party at a bar in Toronto. Everyone who donates $20 or more gets a free ticket.
