Rotary Oratory Competition
Tax deductible
The Rotary Club of South Jacksonville is seeking funds to use for college scholarships for high schools seniors from schools in Baker, Clay, Duval, Nassau and St. Johns counties in Northeast Florida.
The Southside Rotary Club is working on its 2016 Oratory Competition among 46 First Coast High Schools. Through a series of speech contests, regional winners and finalists will compete for a minimum of $10,000 in college scholarship funds.
Each school will hold its own competition to determine a representative who will then participate in regional contests. From the regionals, winners will compete in the finals to determine first and second place.
We are seeking funds to help finance the scholarships to be awarded. Any additional funds will be applied to increasing the amount of scholarships, awarding additional scholarships or for establishing an endowment fund to help fund the future Oratory Competitions.
