Gregory Town is located on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas.
The quaint and picturesque town generates a great small town homey feel for all its visitors and its rustic way of living still held by most of the locals brings historic/cultural diversity to the town.
Although, the town has a lot going for it we are in need of a community center.
A place where the local school kids have a designated space for homework, reading and other educational and physical activities.
A place where lectures and extra curricular classes can take place.
A place where the elderly women of town can go to have their women of honour meetings,pass on our heritage to the younger generation and and of course be the site of their risqué bingo nights.
The site for the community center is the old school building on the waterfront as seen in the photo. Due to various hurricanes significant rain damage and structural issues has occurred.
We'd like you to consider donating to our cause, as we raise 12,000$ to repair the roof and cover superficial structural damage to the building.
