GTSouth Geek & Gaming Tavern Ver2.0

Donation protected
Through sweat and tears and the commitment of our fans and geek/gamer family, GTSouth has made it 3 years!  Times have been tough, the road has been long but GTSouth still stands as a place where everyone regardless of race, religion, political affliation, sexual orientation, or just plain weirdness can come together and enjoy the things we love. Drinks, Games, Geekiness, Karaoke, and so much more.

The journey though is not without its stresses and challenges.  We have made a lot of changes lately to both personnel and atmosphere to make GTSouth the place you think of to come relax and enjoy with like-minded individuals.  Thus comes GTSouth 2.0, a multiphase revamp of the bar itself.  We have gone over the numbers, had many brainstorming sessions on what we can do in our small space and have come up with a plan.  To our surprise many of you wanted to help us grow and stay around offering to buy things for the bar to continue its success and longevity.  We exist because of you and we thank you! As many know the bar survives week by week by the skin of its butt.  Personally we continue to put money in and do not take a salary out, we just want it to succeed and thrive.   In order to reach stability we want to implement the following changes and need your help to do it:

Version 2.1:  +1 Cooking skill
We  need to add food, this will both help our weekday sales, our guests will stay longer, and ultimately drink more. which will stabalize our income to pay the bills and lead to bar growth.

Because of our space limitations we will be doing a BBQ out the back.  Because of the commonality of this, we are changing it up in GTSouth fashion.  I am from Washington state so this will be a sweet BBQ, our sauce is a sugar based, and you know the people of GTSouth love sugar, instead of the common vinegar base BBQ seen in the south.   We will offer a simple menu consisting of Hamburgers, German Sausage Dogs and a Steak sandwich.  Sides will include options of BBQ baked beans, Potato wedges, and a vegetable skewer.  Sauce choices will be plain, Sweet BBQ, and Spicy BBQ.  We will of course have special dishes and desserts at times, and will be working on some simple inside prepped items like sandwiches for when the rain is going sideways and BBQing is impossible.

Our new Bar Manager, Grey is Servsafe Manager certified which helps us a lot, so we need the following quest items to complete this skill level and raise our health certificate level:

3 Basin Sink upgrade: $450
2 small NSF Cutting tables: $200
Commercial Deep Freezer: $500
Commercial Refridgerator: $1300
8 burner event BBQ Grill: $450
BBQ Grill Canaopy : $150
Misc cookware and reconstruction: $300

Version 2.1 total needed:  $3350

Reaching this goal is our top priority to help stabilize GTSouth and allow us to have less heartburn each week :) except from the new food!

Should we make our first goal, we will continue to the next phase:

Version 2.2: +1 Table Armor Upgrade

This next goal has been long in the making but we realized it does us no good if we can't stabilize the bar's financials thus why food came first.  The next goal is to replace the tables that have seen better days.  We have carefully crafted a suitable table to our bar's style.  The layout of which is below:

The Social tables themselves will have charging stations for both your laptops and USB for phones.  The Gaming tables will have EL wire lighting, phone charging plugs, padded bumpers, foot rests, 1" drawers for dice and extra cards and cup holders. The design is shown below:

The cost of the Social tables materials is $200 each, the Gaming tables materials will be $250 each.  Tables will also have certain themes such as the Bullet Bill table on one of the social tables, and a Tardis on a gaming table as well as plans for an Infinity table for the smallest of the 3 gaming tables.

Stretch Goal for Version 2.2: $1350

For our next phase we move to the back room where we feel a lounging area is needed to get away from the noise of the front and relax.

Version 2.3: +1 Peace and Harmony Attributes

We will be mounting the big sreen on the wall and putting in leather couches to relax.

We will be having the small drink tables made, we have been researching couches and hope to find some on the cheap, our one main objective is finding them in leather/pleather as fabric in a bar does not do well.
Couch cost ~$600-900
Loveseat cost ~300

Stretch Goal for Version 2.3: ~$1200

Version 2.4: +1 Holy crap we made it this far???

If we make it this far THANK YOU!!!!! FROM ALL OF US!!!  One of our final goals of this campaign should we go this far is to fix the chair situation, obviously we have a mix-match of them, over time the bases have lost grip and don't slide, etc.    So obviously with new tables we would like some additional chairs and changeouts so things match.

First would be the bar stools, lets be honest, they need a backing for comfort, like a bucket seat.
Cost of barstool replace is 16 * $60:  $960
Cost of table chairs over time: 40 total at $60: $2400.

Stretch Goal for Version 2.4: $3360

So that is it folks, our current goals for this year and with your help we can get there an ensure that GTSouth continues to thrive and become a lone geek and gaming mecca way down here in the south.  Thank you so very much for your continued support of our little establishment from all of us at the GTSouth Family as we continue to improve your experience with us!
