Marion Little League Field
Donation protected
Marion Little League is thrilled to offer Challenger Baseball for children ages 4-18 who have intellectual and physical disabilities starting Spring 2015. Our desire is to allow every child the opportunity to truly "play ball!"
The reality is that our dugouts on our current two fields are not handicapped accessible. The entrances to the dugouts, and the dugouts themselves are not wide enough for wheelchairs to enter.
We also desire to add a small Tball field to open up more field time so that all children within Marion Little League can have ample time to grow and learn. Because Marion is the only area offering Challenger in southwest Virginia we are anticipating a large volume of special needs children to enter our program.
We, the Marion Little League Board, are requesting community support to help accomodate our fields, and to add an additional small Tball field, to allow all children the opportunity to enjoy the game of baseball. Every child deserves an opportunity to "hit one out of the park" despite their disability.
