Hannah's 19th Surgery
Donation protected
Hannah is a nine-year-old girl who was born with Treacher Collins syndrome (TCS), a rare craniofacial condition characterized by an under development of the bones and soft tissue of the head and face (cheekbones, jaw, ears and eyes). Hannah has airway issues, hearing issues and uses a feeding tube.
Hannah is a work in progress. She was supposed to have her 18th surgery on November 5 but insurance authorization issues forced us to cancel the surgery after Hannah had already been admitted to the hospital and we waited for over four hours.
Hannah will need many more surgeries before she is an adult. Many of Hannah's medical and medical related expenses are not covered by insurance.
One in 25,000 children are born with TCS. Please help our family cope with the medical, psychological, social and environmental
issues related to living with the craniofacial condition.
