My name is Reagan and I have dreamed of traveling my entire life. I have traveled and explored most of the United States and finished High School at 16 so that I could continue my education abroad. After connecting with my local Rotary Club, (I blog all about it at www.todoenelmar.tumblr.com) I immediately knew that I was much closer to my dreams than I realized! Many steps lead up to being accepted into the Youth Exchange Program and I am proud to say, after completing the interview process and studying World Government, Dutch and Politics intensely over the last 6 months, I have been given the honor of representing my country as a Youth Ambassador for one year!
As a Homeschooled student, I have a passion for self-propelled learning and believe that the chance to spend a year immersed in another country, language, climate, history and culture will only intensify my love of life, exploration and learning while gaining a better understanding of who I am and where I fit into this world.
While I have accomplished a huge goal, there is still a road ahead of me and I will need your help. I am using crowdfunding to alleviate some of the financial burden on my parents and cover expenses such as Airfare, insurance and fees. I also hope to raise enough to fund the 'extra' trip available to me while abroad - a month long tour of Europe! Please consider making a donation and sharing with your friends and family! As a Youth Ambassador to the United States I plan to be an example of how every country can work together in harmony and where preconceived ideas and misconceptions are put aside in favor of an educated understanding of the world's cultures and communities.

You never know where life is going to take you. I had been planning on doing my exchange in Holland but they did not accept very many students this year and by the time I had been accepted into the program they were full. Belguim was my second choice (seeing as I've been studing Dutch so intensly) but they were also full. After months of emails and waiting I've been accepted into a country. I'm going to Spain. So now I'm studying lots of Spanish. My new go fund me name and blog name is Todo En EL Mar which means All At Sea. You can find out why I chose that at Todoenelmar.tumblr.com Adios!
