Together We Can Save a Life…
On August 9th, 2014, tragedy befell the City of Ferguson and North St. Louis County. A shooting involving a police officer resulted in the unfortunate death of a young man. Within hours Ferguson became the limelight of the nation and suffered a series of heart-wrenching events.
The men and women of the Ferguson Police Department, and nearby agencies that have assisted, have been the subject of threats of violence and death against them and their families. Despite these threats, officers continue to ensure the safety and protection of the community in which they serve.
As we anticipate the release of the Grand Jury’s decision, we fear the potential for an escalated level of violence, placing our officers in a position of imminent danger. Now, more than ever, the Ferguson community needs their officers.
The Ferguson police officers have bullet-resistant vests that provide protection to a portion of their body. Unfortunately, they are without adequate headgear providing protection to the vital areas of the head.
We, the friends and supporters of the Ferguson Police Officers, are asking for your help. Now is our opportunity to help protect those who selflessly protect us every day.
Your donation will help to purchase Kevlar® helmets and protective headgear that could save a life. This much needed equipment could be the difference between officers being able to go home to their families at the end of the day or not.
Thank you for your concern and generosity!
