Meet little David Hope Glass. David was named David Hope because his parents always remained hopeful and had faith that their little boy would overcome the complexities of his condition and prove that he has the strength to overcome the challenges such as in the story of David Vs Goliath.
David has a rare complex heart condition which are AVSD, VSD, TGA, Pulmonary Stenosis, Atrioventricular valve insufficiency, Complete heart block.
David has only one quarter of a heart, a pace maker and a mechanical valve.
At the age of two and a half, he had 4 open heart surgeries. At 3 years old, his heart decided give up and his options are very limited due to his complexity.
David is now in The Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne after being flown over from Adelaide earlier this month as his heart function was less than 10%.
He is on milrinone to keep his heart beating until they find a solution and his parents remain hopeful for a heart transplant.
