Help ECHS MTB Team Replace Trailer

Please Help - Our team trailer was stolen.
WHO WE ARE: Founded in 2001, the ECHS MTB Race Team is a Division 1 member of the NorCal Racing League that has inspired a broad cross-section of teenagers from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds toward athletic accomplishment, respectful teamwork, and personal responsibility through mountain biking.
Our goal is to provide all student athletes with quality coaching in bike handling skills and endurance training to allow for successful and safe development in cross-country mountain biking. Student athletes are encouraged to progress in racing, while maintaining a positive, fun and team-oriented environment.
ECHS Racing strives to be an inclusive and accessible team, providing scholarships and loaner bikes to riders in need. In fact, the El Cerrito MTB team has among the highest percentages of scholarship riders in the NorCal League – highlighting our ongoing commitment to ensuring accessibility to all students, as well as the significant need for financial backing.
HOW THE MONEY WILL BE USED: Our team trailer was stolen from in front of the business that was going to wrap it (put our team logo on it). Because the trailer was parked on the street (as per our instructions from the business) the shop owner's insurance would not cover the loss. We need to purchase everything that goes in to the trailer PLUS a new trailer! Items inside the trailer included trainers for the kids to warm up with, a camp stove and cooking equiment, tables, a barbecue, bike valets, mechanic's tools and stand, and so much more. When we itemized it, the total was over $3500 worth of items!!
WHY THIS MEANS SO MUCH TO US: We pull up to race venues with typically about 18-20 kids and a get a 30'x30' piece of dirt to park on.... We have everything we need in that trailer to feed and shelter about 30 people for 48 hours (and our team is growing!). The night before the race, the team parents put on a pasta feed in the hotel parking lot so the team can eat a healthy meal together and strategize before the race. The day of the race we shelter and feed our racers from 7:30am until after podiums are announced around 3:30pm. Without these items it is virtually impossible for our team to participate in races. Without the trailer, we are forced to rent a trailer which costs the team money. We are slowly purchasing items to replace what was stolen, but need funds to fully restock our trailer.
The ECHS MTB TEAM RIDERS WILL BE GRATEFUL for your donation for many seasons to come. The kids (14-18 year olds) can see how much extra work the parents are putting in and how we are scrambling to get the trailer replacement figured out. The kids have really stepped up as a group to help out in any way they can. They realize how important the trailer and the contents are to their ability to participate in races and will tremendously appreciate any donation you choose to give this season and for many seasons to come.
