I am losing my mother and I need your help!
I am on a different continent and cannot be there to support my father who needs to look after a lioness that once always looked after us.
My mother has had frontal lobe dementia for a while now, but the disorder has taken a turn for the worst and we need to get her professional medical care as soon as possible.
The medical aid that we had is not willing to pay for the care and she is stranded in a small house with only my father to take care of her. He is a brave and loving father and the best husband, but only one man and he needs your help. It has taken her ability to remember who we are and she needs assistance with personal hygiene for everything.
Frontotemporal dementia is taking the mother I once knew away from us and we need your help getting her all the 24h medical support and care she so desperately needs.
Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) is a crippling disorder that causes deterioration in a person’s frontal lobe in the brain. It leads to deterioration of personality, emotions, behaviour and speech to name but a few. Her current stage is at the point that she needs 24h care and we need to raise the funds to make sure she can maintain some level of comfort and dignity.
The cost of a professional home that can provide the constant support and care comes at a price.
We are trying to raise enough funds for the upcoming years to make sure that we can give mom the best care for the rest of her life.
Mom, you have gone to the ends of the earth for us and I will now do the same for you.
My greatest wish is that I can be there in person to tell you this and that you can understand that I love you. You have always been an amazing, beautiful person and we love you.
