My name is Ricky and I’m facing a very challenging financial season of life. For years, I’ve lived independently—managing my responsibilities, paying my bills, and doing my best to stay afloat in a world that doesn’t slow down for anyone. I’ve always worked hard to provide for myself, even when times were tight.

Due to my lease ending in November 2025 and a rising rent increase, I can no longer afford to stay in my current apartment—the place I’ve called home. It’s more than just a space with four walls. It’s where I’ve built my routines, created memories, and fought to maintain a sense of stability. Being forced to leave has not only created logistical stress, but a deep emotional weight that’s hard to put into words.

The cost of starting over is overwhelming. In addition to moving expenses—like renting a truck, purchasing packing supplies, and arranging transport—I also need to come up with enough to cover the first month’s rent and security deposit for a new place. On top of that, there are the utility connection fees that come with setting up basic services like water, electricity, and internet. These aren’t luxuries—they’re the bare minimum to begin rebuilding a stable life.

I’m doing everything I can, but the numbers just don’t add up. I’ve trimmed every expense I can, stretched every dollar, and looked for every possible way to handle this alone. But the reality is, without some outside help, I won’t be able to get back on my feet.
