Help Harry Build
Donation protected
I am raising funds towards the adaptions needed to make it possible for Me to remain to live comfortably in my home.
my name is Harry and I am 6yrs old. In July last year I was diagnosed with Battens Disease.
At time of diagnosis I was still able to be independent walking, feeding and using the toilet.
less then a year later these skills have all been lost.
My mummy and daddy have to carry me up the stairs to bed each night and are finding this very tiring as I'm a chunky monkey and I'm getting more fragile now and it hurts my bones being lifted around.
we need to adapt our house so that I can get a downstairs bedroom and bathroom and there are also some adaptions to be made to make the whole downstairs wheelchair accessible.
It is estimated we will need to fund an additional £20,000 above the Disabled Facilities Grant provided by the local council.
I am also trying to have lots of fun to create a lifetimes worth of memories in the next couple of years however with the cost of building work looming that is difficult.
We have set up this page to do some fundraising events to help towards the costs of the build so I can have fun just like any other little girl and boy and more importantly have comfortable surroundings when I can't leave the house anymore
thank you for taking the time to read this
love from Harry (and family)
