Help the homeless beat the heat!

Hi everyone!  Wow, I'm so excited to start my 4th year helping the homeless in downtown Portland, Oregon, but I can't do it without your help!

For those of you who don't know me: Hi.  My name is Cordellia, and I'm Autistic and disabled, but that doesn't stop me from trying to do a little good when I can.

My goals are simple: to hand out fresh, cold water, snacks, and wet washcloths with my own homemade (by the sweat of my brow) cleansing solution to homeless and other needy people on the street when the heat peaks.  Of course, I'd love to do it all summer long, but it's hard when I'm living on such meager income.  Summer is rapidly approaching, as we are already about to see 90+ degree weather.

That's why I need YOUR help!  Any amount will be helpful.  With even a few dollars, I can buy washcloths or a case of water, and if you share my campaign, you never know who might be able to add a few dollars as well.

As an added incentive, my cool cleansing solution recipe is available for free below.  Simply make the solution, pour it over some cheap washcloths or reusable paper towels, and store them in your fridge for hot days.  Then when the thermometer rises, wipe your brow, and you'll feel sooooo good.  I use this solution on a regular basis, and my homeless neighbors absolutely adore it!

Here is the recipe: Washcloths from the dollar store, approx 2 cups water, boiled, 1 tbsp grated Tea Tree Oil soap, 1 tbsp Coconut Oil, and several drops of essential oil (optional).  Boil the water, then add the mixture, and cool.  Once the mixture is cool, pour it over the washcloths or whatever you choose, and I like to keep some in the fridge for hot days as well as in a spray bottle for personal use.  For the homeless, I pour them over washcloths from the dollar store, which I store in my fridge, and when I pass them out on a hot day....ooooh la la, they are soooo happy!

Much love and thanks in advance.

Sincerely,
Cordellia Amethyste Rose
