Help Andrew and Fin following tragic family events

Donation protected
It’s devastating to loose a mum and dad at any stage in life, but for two brothers to witness and endure a ten year period of illness and care that led to the passing of both parents, when barely out of their teens, is just unimaginable!

My Godson, Andrew and his brother Finley have had their childhood cruelly cut short.
Following the death of their mother 6 years ago, and their father earlier this month, they now both live alone in a local authority house unsure about their future. Andrew is just 20 and Fin 16.

As close family friends, we want to help draw a line under all of this sadness, to initiate a new chapter in their lives where they can start to look forward again to a bright, secure future.

The local community have been so supportive in the short term but we now urgently need to find a way to build a strong, managed financial platform for the boys, to see them through this critical stage in their lives.

We are initially looking to raise £10,000 to cover immediate living expenses and to ensure their quality of life is maintained whilst they remain in full time education.

We have created this campaign on the ‘Go fund me’ website to raise these essential funds for Andrew and Fin. We appeal to our community, family friends, friends of friends and those caring individuals that have been touched by this story, to make a donation to this cause.

Thank you so much for your consideration!

The story to date...

Andrew and Fins mother, Kate lost a three year battle to Cancer and passed away when the boys were just 9 and 13.

Father/husband, Duncan dedicated much of his time to caring for Kate but both his health and his business suffered throughout Kates extended illness.

To add to this very difficult time, Duncan’s brother, Simon also succumbed to Cancer.

When we, as friends thought that all the pain had ended, Duncan’s business failed and as a result was forced to sell the family home and move to local authority housing.

Andrew, was diagnosed with Cancer in 2017 (aged only 18) but after an extended course of treatment, we are delighted to hear that he is in remission.

Duncan’s health continued to suffer to the point where Andrew, aged 19 became a principal carer for dad and brother.

Duncan sadly passed away on Monday 18th February 2019.

This story must have a happy ending...
