Heritage Park Playground Repairs

Tax deductible
Spring is here. Chances are you will go to Heritage Park or Heritage Center this season.  Perhaps take the kids for some fun at the playground or attend various events and programs at Heritage Center.

But we need your help!  You may have noticed that sections of the Playground have been closed.  We take pride in our playground and strive to make it the best it can be.  Each year we budget to add surface material and small repairs.  This year our repairs were higher than anticipated.  Much of our fund raising is weather dependent and to ensure our funds are sufficient to host our free movie nights and other events throughout the year we are looking to raise an additional $7,000 for the playground repairs.  As you may know, the playground was funded, and is maintained, by us - Heritage Trust.  As a non-profit, we ask for contributions to keep park amenities operational. Please Help!

So, we have an urgent appeal to raise funds for our playground.  Please consider a generous donation for our Playground Campaign!

Our children in the community really love Heritage Park.  The playground gets lots of use, but the repairs are costly.  We remain dedicated to maintaining and improving our park for everyone who wants a safe place to enjoy the open spaces and participate in community activities.

The Heritage Trust is a 501c3 not-for-profit corporation dedicated to enhancing natural resources and the distinctive character of surrounding communities.  The Heritage in partnership with Suffolk County and the Town of Brookhaven has developed Heritage Park and Center.  The Heritage Trust, Inc. was founded in 2000 with the opening of the park in early 2003.  The Heritage Trust was created to preserve and enhance our communities by effectively utilizing our open spaces while bringing active and passive recreation to our North Shore communities.  The Trust offers educational, cultural and social events for the community.  Members of the Board of the Trust and all committees are volunteers.  These volunteers devote the time and skills to help create a park and center that will be enjoyed for generations to come. The Heritage Trust is funded by private donations, tax dollars do not fund the activities of the organization.

The grounds at North Shore Heritage Park offers the community beautiful paths for walking, jogging and bike riding year round.  There are two baseball fields, and AstroTurf soccer field, two children playgrounds for younger and older children, open spaces for running, playing, kite flying, picnics, sleigh riding, the “Shack” concession stand and more.   The Avenue of America displays informational stones about the individual United States, a courtyard sitting area and a map of the United States created from gardens are planted, maintained and harvested by the local residents and Garden club oversee by the Heritage Trust.  Garden Trails, benches and numerous flower beds featuring butterfly gardens, native plants and demonstration gardens provide a great sanctuary for residents to enjoy.

Please join your friends and neighbors and make a generous contribution to Heritage Trust, today, so we can reach our $7,000 goal.
